Where dentistry and sleep apnea treatment come together to protect your mouth, airway, and energy—all in one place.

Dr. Juana R. Cavinder, DDS, MPH, HP

Dr. Juana R. Cavinder, DDS, MPH (CA License #44296), is a general dentist with with more than 30 years of clinical experience and advanced training in airway-focused dentistry. She holds a Doctor of Dental Surgery and a Master of Public Health, combining hands-on dental care with a broader understanding of how oral health affects the entire body.

Earlier in her career, Dr. Cavinder served as Chief Dental Officer for the Federal Bureau of Prisons, where she cared for patients with complex medical and emotional needs. That experience shaped her calm, non-judgmental approach and reinforced the importance of education, dignity, and trust in healthcare.

Her focus on airway-centered dentistry is also personal. After losing her husband to complications related to sleep apnea, she became deeply committed to understanding the connection between breathing, sleep, and oral health. Today, she provides general dentistry, dental implants, and sleep apnea treatment with an emphasis on addressing root causes and helping patients feel informed, supported, and confident in their care.

Outside the office, Dr. Cavinder values family, community, and service. She believes patients deserve time, clear explanations, and compassionate, respectful care that helps them feel confident about their health decisions.
